Since 2004 I’ve been involved with BEAST as a programmer, team member and co-director.
I have a duo, Scirk, with instrument builder Dirk Stromberg. We tend to loop ourselves together with strange bits of machine listening and feedback to create unusual hybrid and shared ‘instruments’ greater than each of us on our own.

In 2011 I founded BEER, the Birmingham Ensemble for Electroacoustic Research, which ran for about 10 years.

It focused mainly on networked live coding systems as structures for improvisation.
Kelp Road is a collaboration between me and Anne Parouty, visual artist. It’s an ongoing multimedia project exploring and immersing the audience in the sights and sounds of the marine world, taking the form of sound and art installations and multimedia concert presentations.
